What the NPI Registry is
The NPI Registry is the public directory of National Provider Identifiers maintained in NPPES (the National Plan and Provider Enumeration System) by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. It contains the NPI, name, taxonomy (specialty), and practice location of every enumerated provider and organization.
